Celebrate the end of the series with the LA Times + Sunday Jump
Join us for a panel discussion and karaoke in Historic Filipinotown.
Tomorrow, Sunday, Nov. 13, join the LA Times and community arts organization Sunday Jump at Pilipino Workers Center in Historic Filipinotown to celebrate the end of my Filipino American mental health series. The event will feature a panel discussion with myself and people who were key in shaping up the series: Christine Catipon, staff psychologist at Stanford University; Anthony Ocampo, sociology professor at Cal Poly Pomona; Tess Paras, actor and director in “The Patients;” and Joel Relampagos, founder of Change Your Algorithm. Afterward, there will be a friendly karaoke competition among Asian American mental health nonprofits. Attendees who want to karaoke as well will have the opportunity to do so after the competition. Signups are first come, first served.
Food from Hi-Fi Kitchen will be available for purchase. Admission is free.
I realize this invitation is coming in pretty last minute, but I hope to see you there if you’re free!
